Get ready to lace up for a cure on Saturday, October 5, at the Statesville Family YMCA!

The Lacing Up for a Cure 5K, hosted by Iredell Health System, was created to raise community awareness and funds for breast cancer prevention, treatment, and recovery. All proceeds will benefit patients battling cancer in our community through the Cancer Patient Support Fund of the Iredell Health Foundation, the health system’s philanthropic arm. This fund assists anyone receiving active cancer treatment that needs help with transportation, lodging, support group activities, and discretionary support.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the Statesville Family YMCA with age groups ranging from children to seniors. Medals will be awarded for overall men and women 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place finishers as well as each age group. Age groups will be in five-year increments unless otherwise stated.
