Robert “Robbie” Lewis Davidson Jr., 79, of Mount Ulla, N.C., passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 12, 1945, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Robert Lewis “Luke” Davidson and Dorothy Lefler Davidson. Robbie was a member of Centenary Methodist Church in Mount Ulla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Denna Davidson; step daughter, Deborah Clanton; grandson, Hunter Thompson; and grandparents, Reuben and Effie Lefler.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Shoemaker Davidson; son, Brian Davidson (Robin); stepson, Eddie Clanton (Terri); grandchildren, Justin Davidson (Kelsey), Travis Davidson (Nicole), Shane Davidson (Kayla), Lee Clanton (Maria), Dusty Clanton (Samantha), Jesse Moore (Rachel), Cory Moore (Desarae), and Cheyenne Thompson; and 10 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m. at Centenary Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Treece officiating.
