Vivian White, 83, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on September 23, 2024.

She was born to George and Lelia Jarrett on September 13,1939, in Mooresville, N.C.

She is survived by her son, Gary White (Sherry); grandson, Josh White; daughter, LaRonda Pendergrass (Jimmy); grandsons, Heath Cook and Cole Pendergrass; granddaughter, Megan Smutz, (David); grandson, Seth Pierce (Ashley); six great grandchildren, Bella, Ezra, Lucy, Axel, Annie, and Jake; and one sister, Garnette Walls (Charlie).

Vivian was preceded in death by the love of her life, Tom White, who passed away 28 years ago; her daughter, Donna White Pierce, who passed away 10 years ago; her parents; seven brothers; one sister; and many other friends and family.

Vivian was loved by many and knew many people through her business, LaRonda’s Curtains, where she made curtains and accessories for the home. Vivian worked as a floor supervisor for JCPenney Warehouse and Logistics for over 15 years, finally retiring in March of 2020.

Vivian was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, where she served several terms as an elder for the church. She served for the women’s group and led the Crusaders youth group for many years. Vivian loved her Crusaders and always smiled with joy when she saw them or talked about them.

Vivian loved being outside in her yard, working in her flowers, sitting on her porch, she loved spending time with her family and playing with her great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Alice Robinson, Baylei Davidson, and Christy Whaley for the health care, love, and support for Vivian and the family, also special thanks to hospice care, nurses and team that supported us and cared for her.

The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
