Virginia Ann Parker Brigham passed from this life to eternal rest with her savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C. A native of Iredell County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Scottie Keith Parker and Shirley Ann Parker, who survives her.

Virginia received Christ as her personal savior at age nine. She was a graduate of Maranatha Christian Academy, where she was her class valedictorian, and attended Mitchell Community College. She was employed by Kmart and the Statesville Auto Auction prior to her retirement and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, Bruce Elliott Brigham; her son, Joshua Rankin (Valerie) of Concord, N.C.; her uncle, Warren C. Parker (Bonnie) of Lexington, N.C.; an aunt, Roberta Parker of Waxhaw, N.C.; and by a number of cousins and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held at the Parker Cemetery, located at approximately 653 Bethany Church Road in Moravian Falls, N.C., on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Crider officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.
