Rodney Keith Goforth, 68, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Keith was born October 24, 1956, in Iredell County to the late Douglas Worlds (DW) Goforth and Caroleta Lipe Goforth. He attended West Iredell High School and he was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking, small engine repair, antiques and going to flea markets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four aunts and two uncles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Mary Katherine White Goforth; son, Rodney Keith Goforth Jr. (Heather); grandson, Caleb David Goforth; grandpup, Maggie; brothers, Tony Wayne Goforth (Sherri) and Rev. Douglas Lynn Goforth (Debbie); nephews, Brian and Brandon Goforth; nieces, Ashley Maiers and Kelly O’Neal (Richard); great niece, Evelynn Maiers; aunts, Sue Cook and Doris Williard; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 7, in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Goforth officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m.
