The Statesville Police Department reported the following arrests:
APRIL 8
♦ Latoya Shantae Hester, 38, of Mt. Bethel Road, Harmony, charged with first-degree burglary, larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, attempted robbery and assault by pointing a gun.
APRIL 13
♦ Marissa Nicole Smith, 19, of Stockton Street, Statesville, charged with hit and run with injury
APRIL 16
♦ Dennis Joseph Reid, 37, of Winston Avenue, Statesville, charged with breaking or entering to terrorize and injure, indecent liberties with a child, possession of marijuana, assault by pointing a gun, a misdemeanor drug offense, and misdemeanor resist or obstruct a public officer.
APRIL 17
♦ Brendon Gerard Steele Jr., 21, of County Line Road, Stony Point, charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
♦ Jennifer Snider Dummett, 46, of Winter Drive, Statesville, was charged with three counts simple worthless check, three counts of uttering a forged instrument and one count of extortion.
Crime Reports
The SPD is investigating the following crime reports:
APRIL 12
♦ A resident of the 300 block of Walnut Street reported a residential break-in. Nothing was reported stolen.
APRIL 14
♦ An Iredell County resident reported a motor vehicle break-in in 1400 block of Winter Drive. Approximately $894 was reported stolen.
APRIL 15
♦ A resident of the 200 block of Wilson Street reported a break-in. Three flat-screen TVs were reported stolen.
♦ A resident of Statesville and a Salisbury resident reported a motor vehicle break-in. Assorted clothing, Apple Air pods, an iPad and a bookbag were reported stolen.
APRIL 16
♦ A Mooresville resident reported an armed robbery on Wilmington Avenue in which a wallet containing $500 was stolen.
APRIL 17
♦ A resident of the 100 block of May Drive reported a break-in in which prescription medication was stolen.
♦ A resident of the 200 block of S. East End Avenue reported a motor vehicle break-in in which three firearms were stolen.
