Joan Marie Hoffmann Cunningham, 85, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020, at her home. She was born April 9, 1935, in Rochester, N.Y., to the late Clifford A. Hoffmann and Viola Springer Hoffmann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Cunningham.

Joan was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and applique work, and she had friends that shared the same hobby and will be missed immensely by them.

Joan is survived by her children, Michelle Eifert (Todd), Ellen Powell (Mike Watson), Paul Cunningham (Kim Polson) and grandson, Cody Cunningham.

No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
