Lana Nuccio Wendt, 71, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at the Preston House in Charlotte.

She was born on October 14, 1948, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Frank and Peggy Lepp Nuccio. Mrs. Wendt was a member of the Order of Eastern Star-Adah Chapter #258. She was an avid artist who was very talented with oil paint. Mrs. Wendt loved gardening, lots of different crafts, and graphic designing, but her family was her favorite. She was a true matriarch, very vibrant, and enjoyed volunteering in many organizations.

She is survived by her husband, David N. Wendt; children, Jennifer Gignac (Jeffrey Wilson), Trudy Wendt (James Grier), Michael Wendt, and Leslie Wendt (Omar Kazzaz); sister, Linda Burke; grandsons, Noah Jones, Omar and Sami Kazzaz; and nephews, Steven and Daniel Burke.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 16, from 5 to 6 p.m. with a service following at 6 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel.
