Dillon Mathew Fail, 18, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 8, 2020. Dillon is the son of Mathew and Susan Fail. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ronald Powers Sr.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jonathan; maternal grandmother, Ruthann Crabtree; paternal grandparents, Rena Fail and Bobby Fail; and maternal grandparents Carthell and Patricia Ellis; as well as his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dillon was expected to graduate from Mooresville High School, Saturday, June 13. He was a member of the Mooresville High School swim team. Dillon had an adventurous spirit and loved to bike, hike and be outdoors. He loved animals and had a sense of humor. He was a big fan of the New England Patriots and an avid fisherman. Dillon will be missed more than words can possibly express.
A Celebration of Dillon’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, with Eddie Karriker officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mooresville High School Swim Team, 659 E. Center Avenue, Mooresville, NC 28115.
