Helen Powers Felts, 95, of Mooresville, N.C., went peacefully to be with her Lord on July 10, 2020.
Born in Whitetop, Va., June 25, 1925, Helen was the daughter of the late William H. and Bessie Little Powers.
Helen was a member of The Bridge Church of the Nazarene in Mooresville for many years and faithfully attended as long as her health allowed. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. Her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Malcom G. Felts; and siblings, Audrey Whitley, Berlie Blevins, Kermit Powers, Max Powers and Ana Powers.
She is survived her sons, Norman Felts (Dea) and Richard Felts (Rose); daughters, Betty Parker (Howard) and Joy Pressley (Jim); 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 14, from 10 to 11 a.m. with a service following at 11 a.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom McCrea officiating. Burial will be held immediately following the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
