Mr. Elvis Pressley Imes, 64, of 1020 Absher Lane, Statesville, N.C., passed on September 2, 2020, at his residence. He was born in Iredell County on July 6, 1956, and was the son of the late James Columbus Imes and Jewel Summers Imes Whitesides.
He attended North Iredell High School and was employed by Bernhardt Furniture Company until his health failed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Beulah Mae Strickland, Marie Redmond and Carolyn Powell.
He leaves to cherish the memory of her life one son, Pressly McClelland of Statesville; two brothers, James Columbus Imes and Freddie (Faith) Whitesides, both of Statesville; one sister, Sandra Gaines of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Preston Gillespie, Tyra McClelland, Amari McClelland and Emoni Ryer; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Bishop Wilford Walls will officiate.
