I-SS, health department notify parents of positive COVID-19 tests at eight district schools

Iredell-Statesville Schools and the Iredell Health Department notified parents of students at eight district schools of positive COVID-19 test results this week.

Here is a summary of the schools that were impacted by positive test results:

October 5

● Woodland Heights Elementary: Close contacts notified.
● North Iredell Middle School: No close contacts identified.

October 6

● Troutman Middle School: No close contacts identified.

October 8

● West Iredell Middle School: Close contacts notified.
● Lake Norman High School: Close contacts notified.
● Troutman Middle School: Close contacts notified.
● Troutman Elementary School: Close contacts notified.
● East Iredell Middle School: Close contacts notified.
● Statesville High School: Close contacts notified.

October 9

● Woodland Heights Elementary: Close contacts notified.

Since August 10, Iredell-Statesville Schools has had 184 employees quarantined. That is 7 percent of the district’s faculty/staff. I-SS has had 40 positive COVID-19 cases, which represents 2 percent of the faculty/staff.
