Iredell-Statesville Schools and the Iredell County Health Department notified parents of students at nine district schools of positive COVID-19 tests last week.

Here is a summary of the schools impacted by the positive tests:

October 12
● East Iredell Middle: Close contacts notified.
● West Iredell Middle: Close contacts notified.
● Statesville High: Close contacts notified.
● North Iredell Middle: Close contacts notified.
● Third Creek Middle: Close contacts notified.
● NB Mills Elementary: Close contacts notified.

October 15
● Third Creek Middle: Close contacts notified.
● South Iredell High School: Close contacts notified.
● Coddle Creek Elementary: Close contacts notified.

October 16
● The Brawley School: Positive case: Close contacts have been notified.

Since August 10, 227 I-SS employees have quarantined. That represents 9 percent of the district’s faculty/staff.

To date for the 2020-2021 school year, I-SS has had 50 positive COVID-19 cases. That is 2 percent
of the faculty/staff.
