Julia Ann Lancaster Williams, 87, of Mount Ulla, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at The Laurels of Salisbury.
She was born on May 13, 1933, in Rutherford County, N.C., to the late William Jesse Lancaster and Stella Matheney Lancaster. Mrs. Williams was retired from Revco in Mooresville for over 25 years. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church in Mooresville, where she taught children’s Sunday school, children’s Mission Friends, and was a member of the Sarah Dalton Sunday School class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Donald Williams; brother, Melvin Lancaster; and sister, Lois Gant.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Williams, Lori Davis and husband Delane, and Donna Brown and husband Scott; sister, Nell Bowles; grandchildren, Dustin Davis and wife Ally, and Dillon Davis and wife Kendal; great grandchildren, Lilly and Nolan Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, at Berea Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Freeman and Rev. Ralph Sparrow officiating. Burial and receiving of friends will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family recommends the use of masks to protect all concerned.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to the nurses and staff at the Laurels of Salisbury for the love and care shown to our mom the past eight years.
