Nancy Ann Fisher Wike, 83, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Lake Norman Regional Hospital. Mrs. Wike was born June 12, 1937, in Wilkinsburg, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Walter James Anthony John Fisher and Gladys Edna Vandiver Fisher.
She was a graduate of East Carolina University and on June 7, 1959, she married Earl Neal Wike, who survives of the home. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman, and she loved her family and friends.
Nancy was a homemaker and later worked at the UNC Charlotte Library. She loved spending time with her family and organizing family gatherings. She taught Sunday school for many years. Her hobbies included reading and genealogy, which became a true passion of hers.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by two children, Mary Lynn Wike Sanders (Glenn) of Davidson and James Neal Wike (April) of Huntersville; four granddaughters, Kristin Hart (Brian), Kathryn Woods (Matt), Brianna Wike, and Jenna Wike; one great granddaughter, Annie Karsyn Woods; two sisters, Margaret Patterson (Joe) and Mary Martin (Steve); one brother, John Fisher (Rose); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one infant son, Edwin Lee Wike.
A private family celebration of life service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman, N.C., on Saturday, November 7, 2020.
