Iredell health officials reported another death attributed to COVID-19 on Monday afternoon.
With the latest death, 47 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the county have now died since the onset of the pandemic in March. The Iredell County Health Department does not release personal information about individuals who test positive for the novel coronavirus, including those who pass away.
According to the latest information released by the Health Department, there have been a total of 4,403 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county, including the 50 additional cases reported Monday.
In addition to the 47 people who have died, 31 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 are currently hospitalized in Iredell County and another 621 people are isolating at home.
Health officials estimate that 3,704 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the county have recovered, although some may have long-term health issues.
County officials continue to urge residents to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and wash their hands frequently.
