Brenda McMahan Eagle, 69, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 4, 1951 in Sylva, N.C., to the late Blackie and Rosa Loftis McMahan. Mrs. Eagle loved to read her Bible and go to church. She enjoyed watching “Law and Order” and “CSI” and doing word searches and crossword puzzles. Brenda loved her husband and took care of him for many years. She was all about her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Eagle; son, Timmy McMahan; sister, Connie Thompson; brothers, Steve and Ricky McMahan; and grandson, Michael Sanders.
She is survived by her children, Tracy Christenbury and husband Ricky, Billy Eagle and fiancée Jennifer Ford; brother, Jeff McMahan and wife Kim; brother-in-law, Joe Thompson; grandchildren, Megan Gonzalez (Enrique), Elizabeth Moore (Zachary), Cody McMahan, CJ Donahue, Timmy Donahue, Taylor Fleming, Billy T. Eagle, Makayla Eagle, and Kinsley Eagle; great grandchildren, Ethan and Julieth Gonzalez, Sutter Smith, Maxton Williams, and Daniel Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 30, at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Moose officiating.
