Mr. Rodney Willis Sharpe, son of the late Paul Sharpe and Mary Ann Carpenter, was born in Baltimore, Md., on August 9, 1959. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

He was a graduate of Meade High School and was pervious employed by Mayflower Moving Company and the Waffle House. Rodney loved his family and friends. He loved to cook, and he loved his Washington Redskins.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life daughters, Latoya Rucker and and Shanita (Kevin) Peet, both of Statesville, Nicole Rucker of Claremont, April Rucker of St. Louis, Mo., and Shaona Graves of Rochester, N.Y.; three brothers, Paul E. Sharpe of Columbia, Md., Gary D. (Dorothy) Sharpe of Las Vegas, Nev., and Rickie Sharpe of Columbia, Md.; a sister, Jeanette Sharpe of Statesville; an aunt, Irene Sharpe of Olin; a host of nieces nephews, including a special nephew, Dion Sharpe, cousins other relatives and friends, including a special friends, Ricky “Kuddy” Lackey and Charles “Bootsy” Blackwell.
