Kelly Dale Lackey, 39, of Olin, N.C., passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, December 4, 2020. She was born Friday, March 13, 1981, in Iredell County to Roger “Possum” Dale Lackey of Hiddenite and the late Johana Smith Lackey.
In addition to her mother, Kelly was preceded in death by her infant son, Adam Dale Mecimore; her sister, Jamie Leigh Lackey; paternal grandfather, Rodger Lee Lackey; and maternal grandparents, R.C. & Minnie Smith.
Kelly is survived by, her father, Roger Dale Lackey; one sister, Kimberly Lackey Kennedy; one brother, Roger Eric Lackey; three nieces, Katlin and Kirstin Kennedy, and Lamya Hartsoe; paternal grandmother, Mildred Lackey; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kelly is also survived by her fur babies, Jayda & Teddy.
A Graveside Service for Kelly will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church. Pastor James Safrit will officiate. The body will lie in state from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020. The funeral for her infant son, Adam Dale Mecimore, will be conducted at the same time.
