Tricia Troiano Bennett, 51, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was born on April 14, 1969, in Huntington, N.Y., to the late Peter and June Murphy Troiano.
Tricia was not only an angel put on Earth for her loving husband Joe, and children, Kaitlyn and Dylan, many friends and family, she was also an angel for children with special needs and families she supported. Tricia began her career as a preschool teacher for children with special needs. She was trained as an ABA provider where she entered the homes of students on the autism spectrum and taught them to communicate, and she also trained and supported the parents. She also worked in public school as a resource room teacher, where she supported children with reading, writing and math. Educating and supporting children and their families was a calling and a passion for her. Tricia most recently taught at Millbridge Elementary School in Rowan County. She attended Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Mooresville.
Tricia lived each moment to the fullest, not allowing anyone to interfere with her love of life. See always appeared very carefree but had an unending drive to achieve happiness for her loved ones. Tricia was extremely caring, and saw the good in everyone, even in those that all others would condemn for their actions. She naturally understood what others were feeling and always brought out the best in everyone. Tricia always moved at her own pace; she was a butterfly, and yet always finished what she started. She was always present in the moment and was the best mom ever, always inspiring her children to be the best that they can be. Tricia has touched the lives of countless people and her loss is unimaginable.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Bennett; children, Kaitlyn Bennett and Dylan Bennett; brothers, Jeff Troiano (Robyn), Peter Troiano, Andrew Troiano, Joseph Troiano, and Johnny Troiano; and niece, Maddie.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Celebration of Life following at 7 p.m. at the Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev.
