I-SS, Health Department notify parents of positive COVID-19 tests impacting 23 district schools; more than 1,000 students were quarantined or isolated last week

Iredell-Statesville Schools and the Iredell County Health Department notified parents of positive COVID-19 tests impacting 23 schools during the period of January 22-28.

Some 1,008 students across the district were quarantined or isolated during that period, along with 122 staff members.

According to the district’s COVID-19 dashboard, 12 staff members and 39 students tested positive for COVID-19 during that period. However, only four of those cases involved secondary spread in schools.

Parents were notified of COVID-19 cases at the following schools:
