Iredell County Animal Services & Control confirmed two cases of rabies on Tuesday.

One case involves a skunk that tested positive for rabies in the area of the 1200 block of Jennings Road.

Another case involves a coyote that tested positive for rabies in the area of Quail Haven Drive off Wagner Street in Troutman.

Animal Control officials advise residents to avoid contact with all wild or stray animals.

Pets or stray animals with suspected exposure to rabies should be reported to Iredell County Animal Services and Control at (704) 878-5335.
