Hubert Barry Lawing, 68, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on February 9, 2021, at his residence. He was born on January 5, 1953 in Mooresville, N.C., to the late Lloyd Lawing and Annie Kennerly Lawing.

Barry enjoyed dancing and eating at Randy’s BBQ almost every night. He was a very happy man who was always smiling and would help anyone in any way he could.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving companion, Carolyn Grandstaff.

He is survived by his brother, Larry Lawing (Betty); sisters, Kathy Demery and Charlotte Lawing; sister-in-law, Lorie Overcash (Dan Ervin); stepsons, Danny Grindstaff and Jeff Grindstaff; and his beloved fur baby Tico.
