On February, 14, 2021, Allison Michelle Besser entered into the presence of the Lord at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C., after a long battle with cancer. She was 49 years old.

Allison is survived by her stepparents, Keith and Tricia Wilson of Martinez, Ga.; and her son, Jon Alan. She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Michael; and siblings, Eric Alan Wilson of Orlando, Fla., Ann Marie Wilson of Martinez, Ga., and Gregory Jones of the home. She also preceded in death by parents Terry Besser and Gwendolyn Whitten.

Allison was born on May 1, 1971, in Durham, N.C. She graduated from Midland Valley High School in 1989 and went on to attend University of Phoenix, where she graduated in 2016 with a B.S. in Health Administration. She worked in the Healthcare Administration field with MCG of Augusta and Capital Anesthesia of Charlotte, N.C.

A celebration of life for Allison will be scheduled at a later date online in Statesville, N.C. A family graveside service will be held as well as a Memorial Service in Martinez, Ga., at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Cancer Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
