Reita Faye Owenby Presnell, 64, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 18, 1957, in Blacksburg, S.C., to the late Glenn and Lois Hambright Owenby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Glenn Owenby. She was a member of Shepherd Baptist Church.

Reita enjoyed going to the beach with family, loved her church, enjoyed shopping and loved to collect snowmen.

Reita is survived by her husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Wesley Presnell; daughters, Tammy Moose (Doug) of Stony Point and Brenda Sessoms (Michael) of Statesville; sister, Glenda Hill (Emmett) of Sherrills Ford; brother, Jamie Owenby (fiancée, Amy) of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Cody, Kelsey, Kaylee, Dakota, Cheyenne, and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 12 noon at Shepherd Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn West Cemetery, Charlotte.
