Scott Douglas Southard, age 57, of Statesville, N.C., passed away January 14, 2022, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born October 21, 1964, in Iredell County, N.C., the son of Ramon Southard and the late Barbara G. Southard.

Scott drove a truck and operated equipment for many years professionally and loved mini trucking and all the wonderful friends he made in the community. Scott was the founding president of the N.C. Chapter of Banzai Cruisers, was a former Troutman volunteer fire fighter, treasured his custom Astro Van and was never happier than when he was at the car shows with friends. He loved his pets. Most of all, he was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend and will be missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Angela A. Southard; daughter, Megan Southard; father, Ramon Southard; brother, Michael Southard and fiancée Jennifer Hennessey; nieces, Barbara Southard and Tiffany Porter; nephew, John Southard; and numerous other beloved family and friends.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
