Seth Overcash, 56, of Mount Ulla, N.C., passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

He was born on June 29, 1963, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late George Keever Overcash and Thelma Dillon Overcash. Seth was an active member of Amity Lutheran Church in Cleveland, N.C., and he loved his church. He enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 332 at Vanderburg United Methodist Church in Mooresville, N.C. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and was a good handy man. He loved God, his family, and friends. He loved his scouts and was a great role model for many young men through scouting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Gordon Overcash.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Blackwelder Overcash; son, Aaron Overcash and wife Shiloh; granddaughter, Alexstrasza Overcash; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 18 at Amity Lutheran Church with Rev. Gene Bruce officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
