Edith Robinette Rogers, 89, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Heritage Place. Born in Charlotte County, Va., on March 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lawson Wheeler Robinette and Vera Adams Robinette.
Edith worked several years at Niemen’s Printing and was a member of Calvary Community Church, where she had served in the church nursery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Junior Daniel Rogers; one sister, Pauline Baber; and three brothers, Edward Lawson Robinette, Robert Lewis Robinette and Clarence T. Robinette.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dan Gilbert Rogers, William “Bill” Clarence Rogers (Angela), Linda Carol Summers, Alma Jean Rogers and Margaret Ann Englebert (Steve); ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Peggy Link, Martha Lambert and Edna Coates.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 27, 2019, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Jeff Coley officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Rogers, Craig Rogers, Ray Englebert, Daniel Engelbert, Steve Englebert and Ryan Scott.
