Jackie Lee Johnson, 79, of Statesville, N.C, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019, at Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on February 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Claude Clifton Johnson and Elsie Lee Lambert Johnson.

Jackie graduated from Union Grove High School and attended Catawba Valley Technical College. He worked for Statesville Auto Auction and previously for McLean Trucking Company. Jackie was a member of Calvary Community Church. He enjoyed playing golf and flying.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Tony Johnson; and his brothers, Jerry Johnson and Loyd Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rika Oosterga Johnson, whom he married on November 4, 1961; one son, Danny (Grace) Johnson; four grandchildren and two sisters, Elaine Robbins and Kay (Grady) Trivette.
