Daniel Lee Davis, 51, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away on November 10, 2022, at his home after a brief illness. He was born August 26, 1971, in Iredell County, N.C., to Thomas Israel Davis of Stony Point and Aletha (Gail) Shumaker of Statesville.

Daniel was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Darrell Davis, and by his paternal grandparents Houston J Davis and Bellma Davis, maternal grandparents Clearence Shumaker and Hester Shumaker.

Those left to cherish his memories are one son, Devan Scott Davis and wife Macey of Olin; one daughter, Sharese Comer and husband Travis of Statesville; two sisters, Betty Dingess of Stony Point and Teresa Walker and husband Brett of Statesville; and three grandchildren, Elijah Redman, Hailey Comer, and Lucy Cline.

A Memorial service will be conducted Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Douthit officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
