Jean Carol Brannen, 73, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Autumn Care of Cornelius after battling numerous illnesses.

She was born on April 20, 1949, in Camden, S.C., to the late Wilbur and Lillie Mae Laughridge Brannen. Ms. Brannen was a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresville. She loved her church, the lake, antiques, and her dogs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Brannen.

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnna Brooks and husband Chip of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brothers, James “Jimbo” Brannen and wife Cyndi, and Michael “Butch” Brannen and wife Doris, both of Mooresville; sister-in-law, Paula Brannen of Carolina Beach, N.C.; grandson, Josh Noorbergen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, at Glenwood Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Jerry Gladson officiating.
