Robert Joe Lackey, 88, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Autumn Care. He was born on May 7, 1934, in Stony Point, N.C., to Robert Frank Lackey and Dovie Elizabeth Bowles.

Mr. Lackey was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Janet Harder Lackey, Patricia Fleming Lackey, and Rosemarie Hurst Lackey; his brother, Douglas B. Lackey; and his sister, Mary Jeanne Lackey.

He is survived by his children, Joseph K. Lackey, Lee F. Lackey (Lisa), Suzanne Lackey Passwaters (Dennis), Mack Campbell (Pamela), James Campbell (Leslie), and Janet Powell; his grandchildren, Chloe Lackey Miller (Matthew), Tristan Lee Lackey, Shelby Passwaters, Ian Passwaters, David Powell (Tiphany), Andrew Powell, Julianna Campbell Eisele (Nick), Benjamin Campbell, Michael Campbell (Tessa), Zachary Campbell (Monica), and Joshua Campbell (Travere); his great-granddaughters, Renessmae Vass and Fern Miller; his brother, Ralph C. Lackey; and his nieces and nephew, Serena Koonts, Valerie L. Stone, and Trent C. Lackey.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February, 24, 2023, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
