Brenda Margaret Stead McMullen, 88, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Terrabella Lake Norman in Mooresville. She was born on November 19, 1934, in England to the late Arthur and Annie Revell Stead.

Support of her family was her life’s passion, which led to homes in England, Scotland, Germany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Singapore, South Carolina, Massachusetts and finally Mooresville, N.C.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vincent McMullen.

She is survived by her sister, Sheila Duncan of England; children, Nigel McMullen (Trisha) of Houston, Texas, Vivienne McMullen of Beverly, Mass., Christopher McMullen (Karen) of Sussex, England, and Jonathan McMullen (Michelle) of Mooresville, N.C.; and grandchildren, Samantha, Andrew, Chelsea, Nicholas and Megan.

The family is planning a celebration of life for both Vincent and Brenda where they met in Yorkshire, England, at a later date.
