Patsy Helen Bustle Snead of Statesville, N.C., had a journey of 80 years with her loved ones. In the early morning hours of Friday, March 3, 2023, Patsy completed her journey and reached her destination — the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ. Welcome Home, Mom.

Born on December 25, 1942, in Iredell County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Flake Bustle and Martha Lambert Bustle. She was a very courageous woman and because of her faith in her Lord she was “very strong.” Throughout her life, Patsy faced a lot of challenges; however, she never wavered and never compromised. One could also define her as being “head strong.”

In addition to her parents, Flake and Martha Bustle, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul George Snead Sr.; her sisters, Joann Lynch, Patricia Davis and Jacklyn Rumple; and her brothers, Ronald Bustle, Billy Bustle and Harold Bustle. Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Paul G. Snead Jr. and his wife Cheri, and Robert W. Snead and his wife Lynn; five grandchildren, Rebecca Snead, Nathan Snead, Amber Parsons, Chris Nutting, and Brittany Snead Hurt; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Snead will lie-in-state from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Nicholson Funeral Home, where family and friends can pay their respects. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery with Heather Besoiu, Funeral Celebrant, officiating.
