Gary Lee Whorley Jr., 40, of North Wilkesboro, N.C., passed away Friday, April 7, 2023, at his home. Mr. Whorley was born on August 8, 1982, in Roanoke, Va., to Gary Lee Whorley Sr. and Debra Kay West.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his uncle, Jerry Wayne West; and his grandparents, James Calvin West Sr. and Martha Cloer West.

He loved his dogs, fishing, and his family. He was a great brother and friend.

Mr. Whorley is survived by his loving wife, Cassandra Stumbo; brother, Jimmy Wayne “Fatrat” Martin and spouse Gerrie Marie; aunts, Cathy West and Elaine West; uncles, Roger West, Ricky West, and Calvin West; cousins, Misty Redmond and spouse Anthony, and Jeannie Murdock, all of Statesville. Several other cousins and nephews also survive.
