Jeffrey Darrell Crews, 57, of Mount Ulla, N.C., passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. He was born on May 24, 1965, in Mooresville, N.C., to the late Rebecca Deal Starnes and Jackie Darrell Crews.

He was a graduate of Mooresville High School and worked as an electrician all his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horses and just being outdoors.

He loved his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, Curtis Crews (Amanda); sisters, Kimberly Childers (David) and Paige Clayton (Johnny); mother of his son, Carole Crews; stepfather, George Starnes; nieces and nephews, Dayna, Shannon, Jeremy, and Dillon and their families; numerous cousins; and extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Coates officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O. Box 300, Chamberlain, SD 57325-9919.
