Ronnie Oneal Houston, 76, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Ronnie was born on June 3, 1947, to the late Don W. and Ruth Marlowe Houston in Elkin, N.C.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Buddy Houston, Ricky Lynn Houston, Jerry Houston, and Bill Houston.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Beverly Houston; son, Scott (Heather) Houston; granddaughter, Zoe Houston; brothers, Richard Houston and Tommy Joe Houston; sisters, Wanda Mull, Sherry Richardson, Linda(Gary) Scott, and Peggy (Rickie) Blackburn, and many nieces and nephews.

Ronnie attended Elkin High School and worked for many years as a textile printer for Melville Textile. He was a member of the Corvette Club and Rolling Thunder club. Ronnie enjoyed riding motorcycles, old cars, spending time with family and friends and watching his granddaughter Zoe dance.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday in the chapel beginning at 12 noon with Pastor Darren Johnson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ronnie’s honor may be made to Hospice of Iredell County.
