JoAnne Grose, 90, of Harmony, N.C., passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

JoAnne was born on May 21, 1933, in Iredell County to the late Road Coston Grose and Ethel May Joyner Grose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Evelyn Grose Adam (Ralph), Elaine Mustyan (Anthony), and Jean Grose.

Survivors include her nieces, Debbie Triplett (Ricky) of Mocksville, Cynthia James (Perry) of Chapel Hill, Susan Turner (Craig), of Raleigh, and Linda Eaton (Clay), of Durham, and a nephew, Andy Adams (Ann) of Salisbury.

JoAnne loved her church, her family, and her special, cherished “family/friends.” After 39 years as a teacher, JoAnne retired to care for her parents. She enjoyed gardening, visiting with her friends, and traveling.

A graveside service will be conducted at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Harmony, N.C., at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. The Rev. Bruce Lundy will officiate.

The family request that if memorials are considered they be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church or Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.
