Dorothy Moore Sherrill, 93, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on June 30, 2023. She was born on October 20, 1929, in Mooresville to the late Wesley and Beulah Stafford Moore.

She was a member of Rocky Mount Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Andrew Sherrill; son, Bobby L. Sherrill; sister, Julia Moore; and brothers, Edgar, Ronald Moore, Sr and Bill Moore.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey “Jeff” Sherrill and wife Denise, and Stephen “Steve” A. Sherrill; grandchildren, Amy S. Crisp, and Robby, Daniel, and Travis Sherrill; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Matthew Crisp, and Emma Sherrill; great great grandchild Asher Crisp; sister, Carolyn M. Lowrance; brothers, Harold, Frank, and Melvin Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2023, in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Rocky Mount Church, Mooresville.
