City of Statesville announces schedule for July 4th holiday week; fireworks show set for Monday

City of Statesville offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.

Fireworks Celebration
The fireworks will launch from the Signal Hill Mountain Bike Trail on Monday around 9:30 p.m. Some good places to watch the show are Signal Hill Mall, the former Bi-Lo parking lot, Statesville Park & Soccer Complex, and King of the Sea. 
Garbage Collection
There will be no garbage collection on Tuesday.

♦ Residential Routes: Monday’s routes will be collected on the regular schedule. Tuesday and Wednesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday’s routes will be collected on the regular schedule.

♦ Commercial Routes: Monday’s routes will be collected on the regular schedule. Tuesday and Wednesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday’s routes will operate on the regular schedule.

City Council

City Council will hold one meeting in July on Monday, July 17.

Leisure Pool

The Leisure Pool will be open on July 4 for two swim sessions:

♦ Session 1: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
♦ Session 2: 4 to 8 p.m.

Each session has a maximum of 250 patrons and entry is first come, first serve.

Splash Pad

The Splash Pad at the Bentley Community Center will be open on July 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
