Michelle Myers DeHart, 54, of Statesville, N.C., died Friday, July 7, 2023, at Wake Forest Atrium Health in Winston-Salem, N.C. Born in Iredell County on December 14, 1968, she was a daughter of the late James Wesley Myers and Barbara Sills Myers. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Myers.

Michelle loved her pets, Molly, Lola, and Gage and her many grand pets. She also enjoyed camping, gardening, especially her sunflowers, fishing, shopping, traveling, beach trips, hiking, nature, and talking on the phone with all of her friends. She loved spending time with her husband, kids, and family.

Michelle was a beautiful soul who could light up a room with her smile. She loved making others feel special. She was so caring; she made it her mission to encourage, to be an inspiration and a friend to others going through cancer.

She worked in the family business at Myers Tire as an office manager for 23 years.

Survivors include her husband, Tim; two daughters, Samantha DeHart and Cassidy DeHart Nelson (Eric); a brother, Jerry Myers (Wanda); and a sister, Sheila Cook (Paul). Also surviving are her father-in-law, Larry DeHart; and mother-in-law, Virginia Sigmon (Robert); along with many special friends and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Landmark Church of God with Pastor Jeff Stephens officiating.
