Franklin Lindsay McCarter, 65, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born on October 24, 1957, in Morocco to Donald and Amelia Farmer McCarter.

Frank was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was taken home in Jesus’ arms shortly after his diagnosis while surrounded by his loving wife and son. He was a member of Lake City Church, Mooresville. He enjoyed scuba diving, snow skiing, coffee, and friends. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Pittman McCarter; children, Mitchell McCarter, Kasey (Tim) Gearhart, and Ali (Jesse) Burgamy; grandchildren, Noah Gearhart, Brynn Gearhart, Savannah Gearhart, Maverick Burgamy , Knox Burgamy, Locklyn Burgamy, and Ember Burgamy; sisters, Rae McCarter, and Sandy (Ken) Sheppard; brothers, Doug McCarter, Danny (Dawn) McCarter, and Jimmy (Denys) McCarter; nieces, Paige Whiting, Madi McCarter, and Jaden McCarter; nephews, Justin Daviss, Ian Daviss, Connor McCarter, and Jaxon McCarter.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Spradley officiating.
