Mr. Timothy Everett Murdock was born in Iredell County on June 23, 1967, to Tillie Jane Brown Murdock and the late Thomas Coston Murdock Jr. He went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 15, after a brief illness.

Tim was a 1985 graduate of North Iredell High School and a 1992 graduate of UNC Charlotte. He was a gifted athlete and musician. He was also a devoted fan of all Charlotte sports teams, especially the Carolina Panthers. Tim worked in several industries but was most fulfilled by his contributions to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.

Tim leaves behind a multitude of loved ones, including his mother, Tillie Brown Murdock; his fiancee, Misty Collins; his sons, Coston Tyler and Tim Jr., and his daughter, Stephanie Elizabeth. He is also survived by his siblings, Vashti McClelland, Eric Murdock, and Letha Foust; his grandchildren, Jay’vion, Jay’lya, and Jay’shawn; aunt Williebele Chambers; uncle Pinkney Murdock; nieces Amanda McClelland, Samantha Murdock and Alexis Murdock; nephews Torery McClelland and John Thomas Murdock; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Our remembrance of Tim would not be complete without a mention of some of his good friends, Kevin Kelly, Andy Mason, Rob Lee, Michael Gaither, Vernon Bynoe, Marcus White, and a vast host of others.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Freedom Presbyterian Church at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. Reverend Michael Sharpe will be officiating and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
