Margaret “Peggy” Schultheis McDonough, 78, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on October 12, 1944, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Charles and Martha Walters Schultheis. Mrs. McDonough enjoyed needle crafting, doll making, and cooking. She loved her family and spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tom” McDonough; and brother, Clifford “Skipper” Schultheis.

She is survived by her son, Thomas “Tommy” McDonough, and his wife Angela; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Schultheis, Michael Schultheis and wife Barbara; grandson, Thomas McDonough; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
