Mr. Brian Kent Davis, 58, of Atlanta, Ga., and formerly of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He was born in Iredell County on March 9, 1965, to the late Melwood Leonard Davis Jr. and Pearlie Elizabeth Tabor Davis.

Brian graduated from Statesville High School and was a member of the Highland Acres Church of Christ. He was employed as a maintenance worker at the Georgia Dome. He loved watching football, and his favorite team was the Atlanta Falcons. He loved spending time with his family and friends. There was nothing that he would not do to help someone in need. He will truly be missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nellie Corden Mozer Davis; and maternal grandparents, Lamar and Clara Latten Tabor.

He leaves to cherish the memories of his life a brother, Melwood Leonard Davis III of Statesville; four sisters, Diedre (June) Peet of Statesville, Wanda Davis of Clemmons, Tammy Estrada of Charlotte, and Cheryl Davis; uncles, Danny Tabor of Texas and Selwyn Tabor of Statesville; aunts, Celeste Tabor, Debrasa Lewis, Clarissa Kennedy, and Nelda Davis, all of Statesville; best friends, Donald Crosby, Robert Hickman, Veronica Mitchell, and Reatha Cowan; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at the Highland Acres Church of Christ, Statesville, N.C. Visitation will be held from 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Brother Allen Simmons will be officiating the service.
