Ricky Leon Garrison, 57, of Salisbury, N.C., died Tuesday, August 8, 2023, following a lengthy decline in health. He was born in Iredell County on July 18, 1966, to Barbara Turner Williams and the late Lewis Garrison.

Ricky was a truck driver for over 40 years and enjoyed his work. He was a people person, loved everyone and was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his church and was a true man of Christ. More than anything, he loved his grandkids! They were his pride and joy, and he loved taking them to Taco Bell and to get slushies.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Barbara Williams (Riley); two sons, Dustin Garrison and Joshua Lewis; four daughters, Ashley McCubbin (Preston) whom he made his home with, Stephanie Lewis (Kenny Church), Brittney Lewis, and Tiffany Lewis; 17 grandchildren, Kaleb, Elizabeth, Jacob, Alyssa, Jenna, Kolbie, Macey, Dakota, Levi, Matthew, Ryan, Kaden, Easton, Levi F., Brianna, Ashlynn, and Aubrey, two brothers, Leon Garrison (Rita) and Randy Garrison (Teresa); a sister, Lisa Morrison; and his fur baby, Max.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
