Kenneth M. Taylor, 79, passed away August 15, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C., after a lengthy illness.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Brenda; his parents, Sebern and Ruby Maye Taylor; one brother; two sisters; three brothers-in-law; one daughter-in-law; twin granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his six children, Kenny (Lisa) Taylor, Melissa Hastings and Steven Munoz of the home, all of Statesville, N.C., Nicky (Savannah) Taylor of Dallas, N.C., Ricky (Kathy) Taylor of Great Bend, Kan., Michael (Sherry) Taylor of Hamptonville, N.C.; and one daughter-in-law, Alvera Taylor of Mocksville, N.C. Ken is also survived by one sister, Sherry Jackson of Statesville, N.C.; and one brother, Leslie Taylor of Oklahoma City, Okla.. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Nicholson Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Statesville Full Gospel Tabernacle – The Wave Church Cemetery with Heather Besoiu, Funeral Celebrant, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mitchell Community College’s Nursing Scholarship in honor of all the nurses and doctors who cared for our loving father over the last three months.
