Ralph Ernest Reavis, 82, of Statesville, N.C., died Monday, August 28, 2023, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Iredell County on April 3, 1941, to the late Jesse Allen Reavis and Beulah Mae Davidson Reavis. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Allen Reavis and Wayne Gray Reavis.

Ralph graduated from Statesville High School in 1959. He then joined the U.S. Army and served his country for six years. He was stationed in Alaska for a while and was there in March of 1964 during the earthquake. Ralph worked for JC Penney Distribution Center for 47 years before retiring. He loved fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR.

Those left to cherish his memory include a brother, Clyde Reavis and wife Janice; three nieces, Tammy, Sheila, and Christine; and four nephews, Allen, Bryan, Gary, and Ricky.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery.
