Patricia Reddings Church, 72, of Statesville, N.C., died Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the Gordon Hospice House.

She was born in Iredell County on January 29, 1951, to the late Dorothy Reddings Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Dennis Joe Church Sr., who died on April 5, 2023.

Patricia was a loving, caring mother who was wholeheartedly devoted to being the best mother, wife, and grandmother to her family. She had an awesome sense of humor, many hidden talents and was very creative. Patricia loved cooking, sewing, crafting, and flower gardening.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Joe Church Jr. and Terry Church (Pam Brewer); a daughter, Ronda Dellinger (Chris); three grandchildren, Christopher Dellinger (Christen), Zack Church and Weston Church (Nick); three brothers, Buddy Gene Taylor, Johnny Ray Taylor (Cheryl) and James Reddings (Donna); three sisters, Patsy Bennett, Donna Kimmer (Ronnie), and Tammara McCombs (Charles), and three brothers-in-law, Gene Church, Wayne Church, and Ronnie Church.

A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church, 650 Mock Mill Road, Statesville, N.C., with Pastor James Lewis officiating. Patricia will Lie in State at the funeral home Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
