Garry Ray Cloer, 56, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away unexpectedly September 5, 2023. Garry was born April 30, 1967, in Iredell County to the late Robert Lee Cloer and Florence Pennell Cloer. He worked as a Furniture Stager, and he was of the Presbyterian Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Annie Cloer; two nieces; and one great-niece.

Those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Jamie Cloer of Stony Point and Garry’s twin brother Larry Cloer of Statesville; two sisters, Gail Lackey of Conover, and Judy Lambert and husband Rob of Statesville; four nieces and four nephews; nine great-nieces; seven great-nephews, one great-great-niece, two great-great-nephews, and one great-great-niece on the way; along with two fur babies, Foxy and F.J.; and one special friend, Jody Holland.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home in Stony Point, located at 158 Stony Point School Drive. Rev. Sammy Kiser will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
